This beautiful villa overlooking the stunning Lake Como had existing landscape terraces that felt disjointed due to the steep level difference from the top to the bottom of the plot. Our design approach focused on creating cohesion between the landscape and the villa by connecting these terraces seamlessly. We aimed to integrate built and unbuilt spaces, allowing for various outdoor functions that could harmonize with the natural surroundings.
Given the villa's prominent location facing Lake Como, it was essential to adhere to strict regulations to ensure that the view from the lake remained unchanged. This required a careful balance between aesthetics and functionality, preserving the city’s visual integrity. Our team’s design ensured that the landscape not only complied with local regulations but also enhanced the villa's connection to the lake, maintaining the elevation and blending with the breathtaking scenery. This project was a valuable learning experience in respecting and nurturing the cultural and environmental heritage of the area.
