Villa Chiara

Overlooking Lake Como, Villa Chiara presented a challenge as breathtaking as its setting — steep terraced levels that felt disconnected from one another and from the villa itself. The design focused on weaving these terraces into a coherent whole, connecting built and unbuilt spaces so that outdoor life could flow naturally across every level. Strict local regulations ensured the view from the lake remained entirely undisturbed — a constraint that sharpened rather than limited the design thinking. The result is a landscape that honours both the villa's prominence and the cultural heritage of its surroundings, sitting quietly within one of the world's most iconic views.
